HSC Intramural Program

U4 Program

For players ages 2-3 years old

To help get our youngest members off to a great start, HSC runs a co-ed under 4 year old program in the Spring and Fall. All sessions occur on Saturday. Each session lasts about 1 hour and parental involvement is strongly encouraged.

The U4 program is listed on our registration form and openings are limited. Please include a copy of their birth certificate with the registration form. Session times can be requested. Our U4 coordinator will contact you as the start date of the program approaches. We hold three sessions at Herbert Hoover Elementary School. There is one class at 9:00 am, one at 10:15 am and a final opportunity at 11:30 am. Our goal, weather permitting, is to hold eight sessions during the season.

U6 Program

For players ages 4-5 years old

This program is centered around the time when children, parents and coaches begin to really gain a passion for soccer. The main goal is to begin introduction to position play.  We structure it so that we begin with an instructional clinic for both coaches and players. These sessions are created and run by soccer trainers. Following the instructional clinic, games are played without keepers in which the children get to practice their skills in a fun and safe environment.

Once again, for this age group, parents can request a session time. Our U6 coordinator will contact you as the start date of the program approaches. Sessions are held at Herbert Hoover Elementary School at 9:00 am, 10:30 am or at 12:00 pm. Our goal, weather permitting, is to hold eight sessions. For this age group, practices are held one or two nights a week at the coach's discretion.

HSC Youth Programs

For players 6 to 19 years of age

Our older kids are split up by gender and age group. Practices are held once or twice per week. We want to keep soccer fun and challenging so coaches are required to play your child for at least half of the game.

Each team scores points per game.  Those points are determined by goals and goal differential.  The closer the score, the greater the points won for that match. We do not want to discourage our players at this age group by being constantly crushed.

In the Spring, you can request to play with a friend or to play for a certain coach.  We will do our best to honor your request but cannot guarantee that all requests will be honored.

In the Fall, all new players and those moving divisions are entered into a draft.  We try to keep the players with the same teams for two years.  Every two years, we will redraft the entire club (U8 and up).  Players play for trophies and bragging rights.

For recreational players that show exceptional skill, Hulmeville hosts several Select Teams where recreational players can compete against other clubs in a tournament style setting. Kids offered the U8 Select team have the potential to move into the U9 Travel program the following year.

If your child wishes to play in a more competitive environment, year-round; they are invited to try out for one of Hulmeville Soccer Club's Exclusive Travel teams. Each Spring, Hulmeville holds open travel tryouts where everyone is invited to try for a place on one of the coveted teams.
